Fundraiser to host funeral for e-bike rider killed in crash

Elder brother Michael Ryder has organized a fundraiser for Kevin Silver, the baby of the family, who died in a tragic accident on May 25 while riding his e-bike in Oshawa.

“Unfortunately, Kevin had no life insurance policy to help pay for his funeral and I am reaching out to all his friends and extremely large family to help with his final expenses,” said the appeal on GoFundMe.

“Kevin touched so many lives with his corny jokes or fun loving attitude and I hope to get the help to put him to rest peacefully beside our mother,” said Michael.

If you can help, no matter how small, it would be greatly appreciated to get him the proper funeral he deserves, he added.

As of last night, some 30 per cent ($2,270) of the target $7.5,000 had been raised.
