Guns, ammunition stolen from Oshawa storage units

Durham Police said a number of items, including two long guns, were stolen from storage units in Oshawa.

On the morning of October 26 officers from Central West Division were called to Durham Multi Storage located at 918 Taunton Road West, Oshawa, after it was discovered multiple units were entered unlawfully. Six units were found with cut locks. Numerous items were missing including two long guns and ammunition, said a police statement.

The incident may have occurred sometime between the evening of Friday, October 23 and the early morning hours of Monday, October 26.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or have information as to the persons responsible to contact police.

Investigators have had difficulty contacting owners of the specific units due to outdated address and contact information. If you have a unit in this storage facility investigators are requesting that you check your unit, and ensure management has up to date contact information, police said.
