Harley driver’s life safe, but is in serious condition after crash

A 50-year-old male was seriously injured after being involved in a motorcycle collision in Oshawa, according to Durham Police.

On Monday, May 13 at around 1:22 pm, members from East Division responded to a collision involving a car and motorcycle in the area of Conlin Road and Harmony Road North.

A black 2018 Infinity sedan was eastbound on Conlin Road approaching Harmony Road when it attempted to turn left into a private driveway. While turning, the Infiniti collided with a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle which was also eastbound on Conlin Road.

The driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to a Toronto area trauma centre with serious life-threatening injuries. His condition has since been upgraded to serious non-life-threatening, police said.

The driver of the sedan, a 35-year-old Oshawa male, was not injured and remained at the scene.

Members of the Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected. The area was also canvassed for video evidence. The road has since been re-opened.
