Impaired man drives into a Courtice tree

On Saturday, July 3, at 5:33 pm, near Prestonvale Road by Southfield Avenue in Courtice, DRPS Officers attended the area for a vehicle that had struck a tree with substantial damage to the vehicle. It was determined that the driver of the vehicle was impaired.

The 38 year old male driver from Bancroft is charged with impaired operation, exceed over 80, and dangerous operation. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days and his drivers licence suspended for 90 days.
