K9 Klutch, Air1 team up to track home violence suspect

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit yesterday announced a joint operation that involved Air1 helicopter, DRPS West Division and K9 unit, to nab a suspect.

It said PC Wes King and K9 Klutch, along with DRPS West Division and Air1, teamed up to track and locate a suspect who fled from a violent domestic assault.

PC King, Klutch and Air1 worked together to safely locate and arrest the fleeing suspect without incident, said a DRPS tweet.

“Team work at its best!”

K9 Flex to the fore

Earlier, on Friday, DRPS K-9 Unit said PC Handscomb, K9 Flex and DRPS Central East Division teamed up to track and locate two suspects after they fled from a traffic stop.

After two tracks, K9 Flex located both suspects trying to hide themselves in two different locations, said DRPS.

Two in custody for violating multiple court orders, it added.
