Police Service Dog (PSD) Rogue was a star of the Durham Police force when he became instrumental in possibly saving the life of a suicidal woman.
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit, late last night said a suicidal woman had fled into the woods.
However, DRPS West Division officers had the K9 Unit, and called in handler PC Wayne King and K9 Rogue to assist in finding the woman, who they feared would harm herself.
“Big locate,” said a proud tweet from DRPS K9 Unit.
PC Wayne King, K9 Rogue and DRPS West Division officers tracked and located a suicidal female who had fled into a heavily wooded area with the intentions of harming herself, it said.
“K9 Rogue promptly located the female… she was taken to the hospital for mental health assistance,” the tweet added without giving further details.
A life was saved.
