The Ajax Hub opens to help homeless Durham residents

The Region of Durham has partnered with Christian Faith Outreach Centre to open The Ajax Hub, a support hub for individuals experiencing or at-risk of homelessness.

The Ajax Hub includes Durham Social Services, housing stability supports, shelter admittance, workshop space for community agencies to lead activities, and learning opportunities, laundry facilities, health-care support, washrooms and showers.

  • When: The Ajax Hub is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.
  • Where: Christian Faith Outreach Centre (back entrance at 125 Commercial Avenue, Ajax, Ontario).
  • Why: To help individuals experiencing, or at-risk of homelessness access the supports they need to end or prevent their homelessness. The Region of Durham remains committed to ending chronic homelessness in the community by 2024.
