Clarington approves multi-home Bowmanville project

Clarington Council announced that the Director of Planning and Development Services has approved the subdivision plan on April 14, for a residential project at 2400 Green Road in Bowmanville.

Council authorized staff to issue draft approval to the Brookhill Phase Five Draft Plan of Subdivision on January 27. The review of the Plan of Subdivision application has been completed, it said.

The subdivision includes 53 single-detached units, 53 street townhouse units, a block for eight common elements condominium townhouse units, a block for 86 low-rise apartment units, roads, 0.3 metres reserves, and environmentally protected lands and associated buffer.

As part of the approval, the developer will be constructing portions of Longworth Avenue and urbanizing portions of Green Road, including the roundabout at the intersection of Green Road and Longworth Avenue.

Next steps involve registering and finalizing the plan of subdivision and agreement.
