K9 Taz corners man wanted in domestic assault

The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) Canine Unit rose to the occasion once again helping nab a man wanted in a domestic assault case in Clarington.

Police service dog (psd) Taz and PC Dunlop, helped corner the wanted man. They later assisted in a robbery case in Whitby.

DRPS Canine Unit tweeted that PC Dunlop and K9 Taz assisted DRPS East Division officers to peacefully locate and arrest a male wanted for Domestic Assault.

Later, K9 Taz assisted DRPS Central West Division officers to locate discarded evidence related to a street level robbery in Whitby, it said.
