Keep pets safe by transporting them inside a carrier

We love our pets and would like to take them everywhere with us – if we can. But Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) reminds that safety is paramount – for us and our pets.

DRPS North Division officers yesterday said they has caught a driver speeding at 92kmh in a 60-zone in Uxbridge. Ironically, the motorist was stopped just before the 80kmh seed limit began.

That is too fast, said a police tweet.

They also found a cat in the back seat and told the driver and us to: “Please keep your pets safe by transporting them inside a pet carrier”.

North Division officers also stopped a driver for speeding at 94kmh in a 50-zone in Sunderland.

“Please give yourself extra time to get to work,” they said.
