Large amount of jewellery stolen from shop at knife-point

Durham Police are searching for two male suspects after a jewellery store was robbed in Pickering.

On Thursday, August 1, at about 5:50 pm, members of West Division responded to a robbery in progress call at Garo Jewellers, located at 1792 Liverpool Road.

Two males entered the store and made threats toward the owner while brandishing a knife. The suspects stole a large amount of jewellery, before fleeing the area in a grey Honda CRV.

The first suspect is described as: male, Brown, 20-30 years-old, approximately 6’ tall.

The second suspect is described as: male, Black, 20-25 years-old, approximately 6’ tall.
