Late night music video filming reveals two loaded guns

Durham police yesterday said four males are facing several charges for firearm possession in Oshawa.

On Sunday, March 1, around 2:40 am, members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Saguenay Avenue and Rideau Street.

Police received reports of a man brandishing a firearm while standing in a group of people. Officers arrived on scene and located several individuals filming a music video in two vehicles. Officers removed all parties from the vehicles and located two firearms with loaded magazines.

At the time of his arrest, the 16-year-old boy was already on conditions not to possess any weapons after being arrested for a similar offense earlier this year.

A 20-year old from Clarington and the 16-year old from Oshawa were held for a bail hearing. The 19-year old teen from Whitby and 17-year old from Pickering were released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Anyone with cell phone, dash cam, surveillance footage or information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Lemanis of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2738.
