The Municipality of Clarington yesterday announced that the Newcastle Leash-free Dog Park will be closed on Thursday, September 7 and Friday, September 8.
It said the closure is required while crews complete pathway work as part of Phase 2 of the Newcastle Community Park.
Work is currently underway to construct new tennis and pickleball courts, a baseball diamond, shade structure and more, said a municipal statement.
