Man drives on GO walkway… leaves bumper behind

Durham Police investigators are looking for the public’s assistance to identify a male after he drove a vehicle through a pedestrian walkway at the Ajax GO Station early yesterday morning.

On September 20, members of West Division responded to a call at the Ajax GO Station after reports of property damage. At approximately 12:30 am, the unknown suspect drove a turquoise colored four-door sedan into a pedestrian walkway on the north side of the GO deck. The vehicle proceeded west in the tunnel, drove down a flight of stairs and crashed through a set of doors. The vehicle continued driving in the tunnel and crashed through second set of doors before driving away from the GO station.

There were no reported injuries. There was significant damage to the door frames and the suspect left behind a rear bumper with no plate and other evidence.

The suspect is described as male, South Asian, 20s, thin build, black hair, black short beard/goatie. He was wearing a black t-shirt with “Bad Habits” written in green, jeans and black shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a turquoise four-door Lexus with a white sticker on rear window.

Investigators are looking for the public’s help with any information that would identify the driver or vehicle.
