Man seriously injured in Ajax home assault; suspects at large

Durham Regional Police are searching for two male suspects following a serious assault in Ajax that left one man hospitalized.

According to police, officers from West Division responded to a call for unknown trouble at a residence near Chapman Drive and Cornwall Drive on Saturday, June 28, at about 4:50 pm.

Investigators say two suspects attended the home and became involved in a physical altercation with one of the residents. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

Upon arrival, officers found three people inside the residence. One individual was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information or video footage—such as home surveillance or dashcam—from the area to contact Detective Constable Westcott of the West Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2528.
