Man who hit students with noxious spray held

Durham police investigators were able to identify a suspect and arrested a 21-year-old Sunderland male for spraying two Oshawa students with a bear-repellent type substance.

On April 7, investigators from East Division with the assistance of the Offender Management Unit arrested the suspect in Sunderland man. One of the victims, a 15-year-old male, knew the suspect and this was not a random act, police said.

Joshua Sanderson of Concession Road 9 in Brock Township was charged with: Assault with a Weapon; Administer Noxious Thing and Weapons Dangerous. He was released on an Undertaking.
