Metrolinx announces weekend GO service changes

Metrolinx, operator of GO, has announced temporary schedule changes on the Lakeshore East GO line.

This weekend (Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16) Lakeshore East GO Train schedules will be adjusted for early morning and late evening trips on both days.

Metrolinx also said that connection times between trains will be longer.

“There will be some adjustments to Lakeshore East train schedules on October 15/16 and 29/30 due to construction and maintenance work along the Lakeshore West corridor,” said a notice.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Eastbound and westbound trips from 5:30 am to 8:30 am and from 10:30 pm to 2 am will operate on a different schedule.
  • Plan your trip before you leave to ensure you catch your train or bus connections.
  • Connection times between Lakeshore West and East trains will be longer. Trains will hold at Union Station for about 31 minutes.

Schedules will also be adjusted on the last weekend of October and the first weekend of November. Passengers travelling on those weekends are advised to check for updated schedules before departing.
