Multi-residential project in Bowmanville proposed

Larkin + Land Use Planners Inc. has submitted a complete rezoning and site plan application to allow a multi-residential, mixed-use development to be constructed in two phases in Bowmanville.

The proposal includes two 11-storey buildings with a total of 228 residential units in both townhouse and condominium apartments and approximately 371 square metres of commercial space on the ground floor.

The project is to come up along Highway 2 and Green Road [2345-2349], across from Loblaws in the east and Canadian Tire in the north.

Clarington’s Planning and Development Committee met virtually on Monday June 7, which invited residents’ comments.

The Clarington Council considers the application to be complete and will move forward on making a decision on the change in land use under the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.
