New 89-homes community being planned in Oshawa

Map showing the location of the lands to which by-law 161-2023 appliesThe Oshawa City Council has passed By-law (Number 161-2023) on December 11, which relates to a residential project on lands at 65 Athabasca Street.

The passing of the by-law is to implement draft plan of subdivision S-O-2022-03 which comprises 21 lots for single detached dwellings, 11 blocks for 22 semi-detached dwellings, 6 blocks for 46 street townhouse dwellings, a road widening block and a new local road, said a city notice.

It said all written and oral submissions received by the City of Oshawa were considered in the making of this decision.

The key map (on right) shows the location of the lands to which By-law 161-2023 applies.

The lands to which this Zoning By-law Amendment applies are also subject to an application for approval of a draft plan of subdivision (File: S-O-2022-03).

The city notice said that any person may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the by-law by filing with the Clerk of The Corporation of the City of Oshawa, not later than January 3, 2024.
