A new development is being proposed in Oshawa by Kiya Investment Corp for lands at 126, 136, 142 and 148 Townline Road North.
The application is for a 5-storey, 155-unit apartment building. The building has a maximum residential density of 180 units per net hectare.
To facilitate the development, the council is going to consider re-zoning the site from a residential/major institutional zone to a specific residential zone (R5-B). This zoning changes performance standards such as reduced parking, front yard and rear yard depths, landscaped open space, distance of parking area to street lines and increased lot coverage, building height, density and the projection of balcony and roof.
The applications have been determined to be complete, said a city notice.
It said the Oshawa Economic and Development Services Committee will be considering the above referenced applications for the lands as shown shaded on the map below at a public meeting in Oshawa City Hall, 50 Centre Street South on December 1 at 6:30 pm.
