New extended hours for Delpark Homes ice rinks

Effective January 22, the City of Oshawa announced new hours of the two natural outdoor skating rinks at Delpark Homes Centre (1661 Harmony Road North).

The rinks opened on January 14, and now are open for leisure skating only between 9am to 10pm. Community members are advised that the rinks are open daily (weather dependent) and that hours of operation may be adjusted depending on ice or weather conditions. The outdoor rinks are located on the southeast sport field near the main entrance of the facility.

City asked users to note that:

  • Rinks are available for leisure skating only.
  • Visitors are asked to follow posted capacity limits based on government orders and public health recommendations.
  • Benches are located next to the rinks for skaters to put on skates and helmets.
  • Only persons wearing skates or sledges are permitted on the ice.
  • C.S.A. approved hockey helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters.
  • Rinks are monitored hourly by City of Oshawa staff. Report any concerns to the Delpark Homes Centre by calling 905-436-5455.
  • Washroom access is available at Delpark Homes Centre from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday.
