New long-term care build in Port Perry announced

A new long-term care build in Port Perry was announced yesterday by Lindsey Park, MPP for Durham.

She said Port Perry Place has been allocated 96 new spaces and 75 upgraded spaces in addition to the 53 beds previously announced for a net new 224-bed home.

Port Perry Place currently is a 107 bed home, consisting of 3 floors and 4 home area units.

It has  suffered a Covid-19 outbreak this year in which several residents were reported to have died.
