No GO trains between Ajax and Union Station weekend

This weekend, there will be changes to the Lakeshore East GO line that may impact your commute, Metrolinx, the operator of GO Transit announced yesterday.

From Saturday, September 26, until end of service on Sunday, September 27, Lakeshore East rail service will be temporarily modified to accommodate major track upgrades, it said. Additionally, some late-night service will be adjusted Friday, September 25.

During this time, Lakeshore East rail service will only run between Durham College Oshawa GO and Ajax on an hourly schedule.

Replacement Buses

GO buses will replace train service between Ajax and Pickering GO. Replacement buses will operate between Ajax and Pickering GO, then run direct to Union Station Bus Terminal.

There will be no GO Transit service at Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough, and Danforth GO stations. Customers traveling to and from those stations are encouraged to use the TTC, Metrolinx said.

It said replacement GO buses may depart at different times than train schedules and bus connections for GO bus route 88 may be affected.
