No horn? Modified exhaust? Expired insurance?

DRPS Traffic Services comes across some bizarre cases as a matter of routine on its daily task of ensuring safe roads in Durham.

The latest to be reported is the case of a driver who, despite falling short of the rules, was speeding at 99kmh in a 60-zone in Green River in Pickering.

He caught the eye of the officers. Speeding will get our attention, said a tweet.

No horn? Modified exhaust? Expired insurance slip? Well, now our officer’s printer is warmed up for the day, added the tweet.

Truck Ban: EAST DIVISION – Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) East Division said several no trucks signs are posted along the 6th and 7th Concessions of Clarington.

Yesterday, a driver (below) was issued three Provincial Offence tickets.

Speeding uphill: DRPS Traffic Services reported a double dump truck going 34kmh over the limit uphill in Whitby (below).

Officers consulted their partners at ON Transport. The result: the driver faces several charges.
