Metrolinx, the operator of GO Transit, has announced that there will be no trains between Oshawa and Pickering for Lakeshore East travellers.
Today (Friday, November 14), there will also be some late-night service adjustments.
“Starting on Saturday, November 15, until end of service on Sunday, November 16, Lakeshore East Line rail service will be temporarily suspended to accommodate critical track work that will bring faster, more frequent service across the network,” said a Metrolinx statement.
It said that during this time, GO buses will replace train service between Durham College Oshawa and Pickering GO stations and run express Union Station Bus Terminal.
There will also be no GO Transit services at Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough, and Danforth GO stations. Customers traveling to and from those stations are encouraged to use the TTC.
