The following school will continue to remain closed on Thursday.

  • Southwood Park PS (Ajax)

The decision to keep Southwood Park PS closed has been made to protect the health and safety of students, parents/guardians and staff due to the impact of the storm.

DDSB said it is continuing to closely monitor the power situation in the community. Staff have been active on the ground and are also communicating with municipalities and power utilities on impacts to school operations.

“The DDSB is thinking of all those within our community who have been impacted by the storm and would like to thank all those working tirelessly around the clock to restore power. We would also like to thank those who have assisted neighbours during this challenging time,” it added.
