One held as drugs, guns seized during raid in Oshawa

On Saturday, February 12, members of the DRPS Gun and Gang Unit concluded a local firearm investigation with the arrest of an Oshawa man. A search warrant that was executed at a storage facility on Taunton Road in Oshawa resulted in the seizure of two firearms and a quantity of GHB, Opioids and Methamphetamine, said a police statement.

The suspect is facing numerous firearm and drug related offences, including Careless Storage of Firearm x2; Contravention of Storage Regulations x2; Loaded Firearm x2; Fail to Comply with Release Order; Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (crystal meth). Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose (opioids) and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance (GHB)
