Oshawa has initiated a study for a new collector road from Windfields Farm Drive West to Winchester Road West known as the Windfields Connection.
The city has retained BT Engineering Inc. to examine alignment, cross section, intersection and active transportation alternatives and recommend a preferred alternative to address the needs of the study area.
The study will also determine any property acquisition required to implement the project.
It will establish the need and justification for the project, considering all reasonable alternatives with acceptable effects on the natural, social and cultural environments, and proactively involving the public, agencies and indigenous communities.
A Public Information Centre will be held. All information will be collected in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (2009).
