Oshawa Peony Festival among Top 100 in Ontario

City of Oshawa’s Peony Festival has been named in Festival and Events Ontario (FEO) Top 100 Festivals once again.

The Top 100 award recognition acknowledges industry excellence happening across the province. The award is recognized by festival goers, peers, and government officials for leading quality festivals and events.

A signature event in Oshawa since 2004, this is the 11th consecutive year that our Peony Festival has received this significant recognition, said a city statement.

“The City of Oshawa is thrilled that Festival and Events Ontario has once again selected the Peony Festival as a Top 100 event. We invite all residents of this great city to visit the Peony Festival as it celebrates its 19th anniversary this June and experience all that this amazing festival has to offer,” said Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter.

The 2023 Peony Festival will take place Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11 at the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens. The free event displays 300 types of peonies in the gardens. In addition to the gardens, artisans, live music, gardening advice, a judged Peony Show, Children’s Garden, an art competition and a photo contest are all part of this remarkable flower festival.
