Oshawa plans major revamp of Everglades Park

The City of Oshawa has announced that it is redeveloping Everglades Park at 365 Pompano Court.

The Everglades Park conceptual plan includes:

  • a new playground with junior and senior play components
  • a swing set
  • shade structure and site furniture
  • accessible pathways
  • tree plantings

The city said it wants to hear residents’ thoughts on the preferred playground equipment and accessibility features. Community members are invited to provide their feedback by completing a feedback from online on Connect Oshawa (ConnectOshawa.ca/EvergladesPark); or, on paper at Service Oshawa (50 Centre St. S.).

Feedback will be received until noon on September 9, and will be considered in the selection of playground equipment and accessibility components of the site, the city said.
