Youth violently attacked for not giving up shoes, clothes

Durham Police are searching for four males after they violently assaulted and attempted to rob another youth in Pickering.

On Monday, July 29 at about 6:45 pm, members of West Division responded to a robbery call at a coffee shop, in the area of Kingston Road and Liverpool Road.

Four male youth confronted another male youth and demanded his shoes and clothes. The suspects violently assaulted the victim when he did not give them his property. All four suspects fled the area prior to police arrival, said a police report.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

  • The first suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 5’11”, 16-20 years-old, with dreadlock style hair. He was wearing a blue sweater, and black jeans.
  • The second suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 5’6”, 16-20 years-old. He was wearing a ski mask, camouflage style sweater with a hood, and black jeans.
  • The third suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 5’7”, 16-20 years-old, with short braided hair. He was wearing a black sweater, and jeans.
  • The fourth suspect is described as: male, Black 16-20 years-old.
