Oshawa’s Mary Street North closed to traffic today

The City of Oshawa has announced that Mary Street North will be closed today to through traffic. There will be no through access for emergency vehicles.

Temporary conditions signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards, it said.

  • When: From 7 am Wednesday July 27, 2022 until 7 pm Thursday July 28
  • Where: Between Bond Street and Richmond Street
  • Why: To remove all construction hoarding and repaint the lines on Mary Street – 80 Bond St E

Sidewalk closure: King Street W sidewalk is closed to pedestrian traffic until August 5.

  • Where: South side – between Simcoe Street North and Prince Street
  • When: From July 26 until August 5
  • Why: Facade improvement, replacing of exterior thin brick tiles at 17 King Street West

Road Closure: Windfields Farm Drive East and southbound Bridle Road will be closed to through traffic due to work at roundabout.

Temporary conditions signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards.

No emergency access on Windfields Farm Drive. Local access only, the city said.

  • When: From July 27 until August 2
  • Where: Southbound Bridle Road between Winchester Road and Windfields Farm Drive, and Windfields Farm Drive East between Bridle Road and Steeplechase Street
  • Why: service connections – Gas main tie-in

The city apologized for any inconvenience caused.
