Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after being struck

Durham Regional Police service (DRPS) yesterday said a pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after being struck in the City of Pickering.

The incident took place at the intersection of Brock Road and Dellbrook Avenue, which was closed for a collision investigation.

“A pedestrian has been struck and has serious injuries. Please find an alternate route,” police said promising that an update will follow.

Dundas Street East Reopened

DRPS reported another road collision which led to the closure of Dundas Street East in the Town of Whitby.

“Road closure – Dundas Street East is currently closed between Halls Road North and Audley Road North for a motor vehicle collision,” said a police alert.

Please avoid the area. Thank you, it added.

The roadway was later re-opened.
