Perfume thieves hit staff with hammer in Shoppers robbery

Three suspects are wanted after robbing a Shoppers Drug Mart and assaulting an employee in Ajax.

On Friday, February 7, at about 9:15 pm, members of West Division said they were dispatched to Shoppers Drug Mart located at 1971 Salem Road North. Three suspects entered the store and smashed a number of display cases containing perfume. An employee confronted the suspects and was struck with a hammer. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1: male, Brown, 16-25 years of age, 5’10”, medium build, wearing a black medical mask, black bubble jacket, black pants and black shoes. He carried a hammer.

Suspect #2: male, Brown, 16-25 years of age, 5’5”, slim build, wearing a black medical mask, black jacket, grey track pants and white shoes.

Suspect #3: male, Brown, 16-25 years of age, 5’5”, wearing a black medical mask, black jacket, black pants and black/white shoes.
