The City of Pickering will host the Pickering Food Truck Festival from Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7.
In order to ensure a safe, functional, and enjoyable event, the city will be enacting temporary traffic management controls in the area which may impact adjacent residents and businesses.
The Pickering Civic Complex parking lot, The Esplanade North, and The Esplanade South will be temporarily closed to facilitate the festival, said a city statement.

Duration: Traffic controls will be in effect from Thursday, August 4 – 7 am to Monday, August 8 – 7 am
The Esplanade North – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to the Civic Complex underground parking ramp on Thursday, August 4 – 7 am to Monday, August 8 – 7 am. The sidewalk on the south side of The Esplanade North will not be accessible from Valley Farm Road to the Civic Complex underground parking ramp during the closure. The sidewalk on the north side of The Esplanade North will remain open.
The Esplanade South – will be closed from Valley Farm Road to the Pickering Civic Complex outbound parking lot driveway on Thursday, August 4 – 7 am to Monday, August 8 – 7 am. The sidewalks on both sides of The Esplanade South will not be accessible from Valley Farm Road to Glenanna Road.
Pickering Civic Complex Parking Lot – the parking lot will be closed on Friday, August 5 – 7 am and will re-open on Monday, August 8 at 7 am.
Temporary Accessible Parking – will be available on a portion of The Esplanade North (south side), and on a portion of the east side of Glenanna Road (south of The Esplanade South) from Friday, August 5 – 7 am to Monday August 8 – 7 am.
