Police asking for info after multiple shots fired in Oshawa

Durham police are asking for the public’s help after a shooting in Oshawa on Wednesday night.

Officers from Central East Division were called to the area of Albert Street and First Avenue at around 10:15 pm on August 6, following reports of multiple gunshots. When they arrived, they found several shell casings in the area.

According to police, surveillance footage shows a man running north on Albert Street when another man begins shooting at him. Both individuals fled before officers arrived, and no injuries were reported. Investigators believe the incident was isolated.

Police are seeking any witnesses or video footage, including dashcam recordings, taken between 10 pm and 10:20 pm along Albert Street from First Avenue to Albany Street.
