Police look for suspect who shot man in Bowmanville bar

Durham Police investigators are looking for a suspect(s) after a male was shot last night at a bar in Bowmanville on Saturday.

On August 6 at about 11:15 pm, members from East Division were dispatched to a shooting call at 89 King Street East. Officers arrived on scene and located a male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The male was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said a police statement.

Police spoke with witnesses on scene and are looking to speak with a male who was observed fleeing the area northbound on George Street in a white vehicle.

Police are asking for anyone who was in the area that may have video surveillance or information to contact them immediately.
