Police looking for who spread poison in greenbelt

Toronto: Police would like to make the public aware of a possible hazardous material within the Cassandra Greenbelt.

On Saturday, July 20 at 2 am police responded to a call for several dead wild animals within the Cassandra Greenbelt.

As a result of investigation, police believe that an undetermined poison may have been left within the park area. It has the potential to harm children and small animals. The delivery method for the harmful substance is believed to have been peanut butter.

If you frequent the park and your child or animal exhibits any unusual symptoms you are encouraged to seek medical attention.

Toronto Police Service are seeking the public’s help in identifying any person or persons responsible for the dispersal of this harmful substance.
