Police release video of indecent act suspect

Durham Police investigators are continuing to look for a suspect following an indecent act that occurred earlier in June in Whitby.

Investigators are releasing a video of the suspect that was captured just before the incident. The male suspect is reported to have exposed himself to a female jogger last Friday in Whitby.

On June 18, at approximately 4:10 pm., members of Central West Division responded to a call for an indecent act in the area of the Whitburn Park on Whitburn Street. A witness observed a female jogger running into the forested area of the park, followed by the suspect who had his pants down and was exposing himself. The suspect then returned to a vehicle and drove off on Whitburn Street towards Brock Street.

The suspect is described as male, white, 20-30s, heavier build with large arms and a brown beard. He wore a blue Under Armour baseball cap, grey t-shirt and navy blue shorts.

The suspect vehicle is described as a grey Dodge Caravan.

Anyone with new information about this investigation is asked to contact D/Cst. Bortoluss of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1877.
