Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday praised the great teamwork by members of DRPS East Division, Air1, Tactical Support Unit and K9 who, on Saturday, arrested a fugitive wanted by Toronto Police.
The Toronto Police Service Fugitive Squad thanked the public for their assistance in locating the wanted man.
Maurice Dayard, 20, was wanted on a Canada-wide immigration warrant issued by Canada Border Services Agency for being a danger to the public and unlikely to appear for a minister’s hearing.
He was arrested on June 26, in the Fieldgate Drive and Ormond Drive area of Oshawa, where he was last seen, and charged accordingly.
The Toronto Police Service Fugitive Squad is requesting the public’s assistance locating a wanted man.
Dayard is also wanted in Philadelphia, PA, for Break and Enter, Sexual Assault, and Rape.
