Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday announced officers had found a non-verbal child in Oshawa.

Officers from DRPS Central East Division located a non-verbal child in the area of Stevenson Road and Gibb Street in Oshawa, said a police tweet.

He was described as male, mixed race, 8-10 years old, short black hair, brown eyes. He was wearing a red long sleeve pyjama top, grey pyjama pants with hockey sticks on it.

Police said he was found wandering around 12:45 pm, and had asked anyone with information to call 905-579-1520. “We are working to re-unite him with his family,” said another tweet.

A little later, police said the parents of this young boy have been located and he will be reunited with his family. “Thanks for everyone who shared this….”
