Police tight-lipped on Courtice woods search

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday searched a wooded area in Courtice, but would not say why.

Earlier yesterday they tweeted that investigators will be conducting a search of a wooded area near Varcoe Road in Courtice as part of an ongoing investigation.

All DRPS would say is that “there is no public safety concerns. Please avoid the area”.

No other information is available at this time, the cryptic tweet added.

There was no promise of further information being available later.
