Durham Regional Police Services (DRPS) said a man has been rescued from a singking craft in the middle of Lake Scugog.
Police said they received a call from the person who was in the middle of the lake saying he was on a seadoo (water scooter) that was sinking. He asked for help.
Units from the DRPS North Divison and Air1 responded. The man was located with the help of Communications and 911 providing map locations.
The man was rescued with the assiatnce of residents using civilian waterfraft, police said.
It said DRPS would like to thank those in volved in bringing the man safely to shore.
The incident happend after noon on Friday.
