Resident rescued from high-rise fire in Oshawa

Oshawa Fire Services (OFS) swung into action early yesterday rescuing a person who was trapped in a high-rise that had caught fire.

The incident occurred in downtown Oshawa at the 33 Richmond Street high-rise. The resident was trapped on the 7th floor of the building.

Oshawa Fire responded in the downtown core to a working fire at 33 Richmond Street and performed a textbook aerial rescue of a resident trapped on the 7th floor balcony, said an OFS tweet.
