The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure on Alexander Knox Road, in the City of Pickering.
- When: The closure started July 12 and will extend to November 30. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
- Where: Alexander Knox Road (Whitevale Road) from Peter Matthews Drive to Brock Road, in the City of Pickering.
Why: To install multiple large culverts across the roadway.
The region said it realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
Detour routes will be in place.
