Robber of female jogger arrested

Durham police investigators have arrested a 27-year-old male after a female jogger was robbed in Oshawa last week.

On April 17, investigators arrested the suspect, David Maclean-Devoe of No Fixed Address. He is charged with: Robbery; Assault with a Weapon; Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Undertaking x2.

He was held for a bail hearing.

A 47-year-old female victim was jogging on a path in Oshawa when she was accosted by the unknown suspect, who was armed with a knife. The suspect made a demand for cash, but left only with her cellphone, police said.
