Robbers take cash – but not pizza (?) – from store

Durham Police investigators are looking for two male suspects in an armed robbery of a pizza store in Whitby yesterday morning.

On Monday, January 10 at approximately 1 am, members of Central West Division were called to the Pizza Pizza store on Rossland Road and Anderson Street for a commercial robbery. The suspects entered the store and made a demand for cash. One suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspects fled from the store with cash and drove off northbound on Anderson Street in a black vehicle, said a police statement.

It did not say if the robbers took any pizza(s) from the store.

The victim did not receive any physical injuries. Officers searched the area, with negative results, police said.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1 – male, Black, 25-30 years of age. He was wearing all black clothing, black hat and a mask.

Suspect #2 – male, Black, braided hair. He wore all black clothing and had glasses.
