Scarborough man faces charges after Ajax crash

A 38-year-old Scarborough man is facing charges in relation to a serious motor vehicle collision in May.

On Friday, May 14, investigators from our Collision Investigation Branch commenced an investigation after a collision on Taunton Road and Squire Drive, in Ajax, resulted in serious injuries.

Witnesses reported a westbound black Honda Accord crossed the center line narrowly missing two eastbound vehicles before colliding with a third eastbound vehicle, which was a silver Honda Accord.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the blood samples drawn from Shina Samuel Adeymi, the driver of the westbound black Honda Accord

Samuel Adeymi, age 38 of Scarbell Drive in Scarborough has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – Exceed Blood – Alcohol Concentration contrary to the Criminal Code and Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

He was released on an Undertaking.
