She sold a Mercedes GL250 that wasn’t hers

Durham Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect that sold a Mercedes car that wasn’t hers.

On May 11, the unknown female suspect purchased a 2018 Mercedes GL250 vehicle using fraudulent bank drafts from the victim. Once she had fraudulently gained possession, she posted the vehicle for sale on an online platform. The suspect then sold the vehicle to a second victim for cash using the assumed name of the original seller, police said.

Police were advised and the vehicle was found and returned to the original seller.

Investigators are trying to identify the suspect in this matter

The fraud took place on Pickering.

Full description of suspect(s): Female, black, 25-30 years, 5’4″ tall, fake eyelashes and medium build.
