Shooting suspect turns himself in, charged and held

Durham Police have arrested the suspect in a shooting incident in December, after he turned himself in yesterday morning.

On December 10 at about 9:30 pm, members from Central East Division were dispatched to the area of Nassau Street and King Street West in Oshawa, for an armed person. An incident occurred in which the suspect male became physical with a victim.

The suspect then shot at the victim, missing him, and fled southbound on Nassau Street. Officers on scene located a shell casing. No physical injuries were reported.

The 19-year old suspect of Oshawa was charged and held for a bail hearing.
